Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces transition from active duty to plan, create and operate a small business. RMVBC is proud to be an affiliate member of NaVOBA, the National Veteran Owned Business Association and the operator of the Utah Veterans Small Business Development Center. To Promote Veteran Owned Businesses Throughout Our Region By Being A Leader, Mentor and Advocate For Veterans And To Bring Together Veterans And Resources Designed To Benefit Veterans IN Business; To Educate Veterans in Available Government Programs and Benefits Available To Them; To Assist Veterans in Transitioning From Active Duty to the Civilian Workforce; To Provide and Coordinate Training And Other Support Platforms To The Benefit Of Our Veteran Members And, Thusly, To Our Communities, States and Nation.
Who We Are:The Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council, Inc., was created to provide a vehicle for voice, education and influence on behalf of Veterans of the Armed Forces of The United States who have started or who are operating small businesses in the Rocky Mountain West. The RMVBC works closely with state agencies, PTACs and Corporate organizations to provide direction, training and information to Vetrepreneurs. The Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council is an affiliate member of the National Veteran Owned Business Association - NaVOBA The Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council is a non-profit Utah corporation (Corporate ID #6779056-0142) and is a recognized public charity under IRS Code 501(C)3. The Council is authorized by the IRS to receive tax deductible donations, bequests and gifts under Sections 2055, 2106 and 2522 of the Tax Code. is the Founder and Executive Director of the
Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council. Jack (BS/MBA)has many years of large and small business experience and is a service disabled U.S. Army Veteran (Vietnam). Jack is also
very active in local political circles and served as the Department (State) Judge Advocate for The American Legion in California for many years and is now active in the Utah American Legion. Howard Darter is Deputy Director and oversees the daily operation of the organization. Howard has been involved in Veterans' leadership for over twenty years and served as Department (State) Commander of The American Legion in California. A Service-Disabled Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army Howard has dedicated a great deal of his life to the betterment of Veterans. Carla Metzger is Associate Director (Idaho & Montana) and oversees the activities of the Business Advisory Council in the States of Idaho and Montana. Carla is the wife, daughter, granddaughter and great-grandaughter of Veterans and has a great deal of experience in assisting Veterans and their families in Idaho including leading the family support program efforts during recent National Guard deployments. Dae Murray is Associate Director (Utah & Wyoming) and oversees the activities of the Business Advisory Council in the States of Utah and Wyoming. Dae is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with years of experience in Veterans' support activities including The American Legion, Marine Corps League and Clovis (CA)Veterans' Memorial District. Gail Climer is Administrative Manager and operates the day-to-day activities of the organization. Gail is the wife and daughter of Veterans and has years of experience in the private sector as well as in local government.
