Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces transition from active duty into the civilian workforce or to start, operate and succeed in small Veteran Owned business. RMVBC is proud to be an affiliate member of NaVOBA, the National Veteran Owned Business Association.
Our Mission:To Promote Veteran Owned Businesses Throughout Our Region By Being A Leader, Mentor and Advocate For Veterans IN Business; To Educate Veterans in Available Government Programs and Benefits Available To Them; To Assist Veterans in Transitioning From Active Duty to the Civilian Workforce; To Provide and Coordinate Training And Other Support Platforms To The Benefit Of Our Veteran Members And, Thusly, To Our Communities, States and Nation.
Who We Are:The Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council, Inc., was created to provide a vehicle for voice, education and influence on behalf of Veterans of the Armed Forces of The United States who have started or who are operating small businesses in the Rocky Mountain West. The RMVBC works closely with state agencies, PTACs and Corporate organizations to provide direction, training and information to Vetrepreneurs. The Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council is an affiliate member of the National Veteran Owned Business Association - NaVOBA The Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council is a non-profit corporation incorporated in the State of Utah (Corporate ID #6779056-0142) and operating under IRS Regulation 501 (C) 3. Our Key Personnel: Jack Climer is the Founder and Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Veterans Business Council. Jack (BS/MBA)has many years of large and small business experience and is a disabled U.S. Army Veteran (Vietnam). Jack is also very active in local political circles and served as the Department (State) Judge Advocate for The American Legion in California for many years. Howard Darter is Deputy Director and assists the Executive Director in the operation of the organization. Howard has been involved in Veterans' leadership for over twenty years and served as Department (State) Commander of The American Legion in California. A Service-Disabled Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Howard has dedicated a great deal of his life to the betterment of Veterans. Guy DeHart is Associate Director and oversees the activities of the Business Advisory Council. Guy assists the Executive Director as needed and works tirelessly to implement the programs and ideals of the Council. Guy brings years of experience including service as CFO for Evans & Sutherland. John Pierce is Chairman of the Business Advisory Council. The BAC is the local area business support group that assists with training, funding and other opportunities. John's personal relationships with businesses throughout the Rocky Mountain region is critical to our success. Carla Metzger is Associate Director (Idaho) and oversees the activities of the Business Advisory Council in the State of Idaho. Carla is the wife, daughter, granddaughter and great-grandaughter of Veterans and has a great deal of experience in assisting Veterans and their families in Idaho including leading the family support program efforts during recent National Guard deployments. Paul Costello is Associate Director (Colorado) and oversees the activities of the Business Advisory Council in the State of Colorado. Paul is graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and is a combat Veteran of Desert Storm. Paul has served in numerous command positions in the Navy as well as serving as Chief Pilot (Western) for Delta Airlines. Dae Murray Emerzian is Associate Director (Utah) and oversees the activities of the Business Advisory Council in the State of Utah. Dae is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with years of experience in Veterans' support activities including The American Legion, Marine Corps League and Clovis (CA)Veterans' Memorial District. Gail Climer is Administrative Manager and operates the day-to-day activities of the organization. Gail is the wife and daughter of Veterans and has years of experience in the private sector as well as in local government. Rees Lloyd (Attorney-At-Law) is General Counsel and provides legal guidance to the organization. Rees is a highly experienced attorney specializing in constitutional, civil rights and employment law and has years of experience in non-profit operations including service as legal counsel to Cesar Chavez and other Union operations. Rees, a U.S. Army Veteran, is an active advocate for Veterans' rights.
